HTML5 Arrives for Cell Phones with Zeewe, the New Free Application Store for iPad and iPhone

Based on HTML5, Zeewe is an application store completely independent from Apple - an easier and faster option to develop and launch an app

SAO PAULO, Jan. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Zeewe (www.zeewe.com), the new HTML5-based free and independent application platform pointed out by companies such as Google and Apple as the technology of the future for web app production, has just reached the market.

With this technology, professionals have a cheaper, easier and faster option to develop and launch an app in iPad, Android, iPhone, TV, Symbiam and PC, among other possibilities. "The HTML5 standard should make the development of applications uniform for different devices and vendors. It is very practical and simple to use. In a few minutes, for example, it's possible to customize smartphone applications," states Flavio Stecca, CTO at Movile.

Another Zeewe differential is the capacity to offer collection within the application. These collections are done through integration with Mozca (www.mozcapag.com), a Latin platform for micro-payments of virtual goods through the cell phones and other means of payment.

Acceptance - In just 2 weeks of the beta version, the Zeewe store already reached 100,000 visitors - of which 10,000 installed and used the Apps daily. Movile, the company where the solution is being developed, believes that with the support for Android and the global-collection possibility, the solution can reach 100,000 users per day still in the first quarter of 2011.

"Within this period, we had more accesses than expected, which greatly surprised and motivated us. Of this total, 50% come from abroad, especially India and the USA, and the other 50% from Brazil, confirming that the demand for smartphone appstores is global," Stecca points out.
